The Catalan coach has been summoned by his management to raise the bar and improve his team's results in three games on pain of

In football, miracles rarely exist.

A team that loses money, is unable to sell some of its aging stars and lets the best player in the world, in this case Lionel Messi at PSG, slip away for free, is necessarily less good then.

This obvious observation is not necessarily shared by the leaders of FC Barcelona and in particular its president, Joan Laporta.

Furious after the rout of his team Tuesday night at Camp Nou against Bayern Munich, Laporta has decided to put pressure on his coach Ronald Koeman.

According to the Catalan newspaper Sport, the management of the club would have given him an ultimatum: three games to urgently straighten the bar, under penalty of being indicated the exit.

FC Barcelona welcomes Granada next Monday, then will move to Cadiz before hosting Levante.

Next, Barcelona will face Benfica for the second group stage match of the Champions League.

The points and the way

Still more than nine points in three league games, Joan Laporta expects the best in terms of the show. He criticizes his Dutch coach in particular for a game that is too defensive, light years away from the Barcelona style which consisted in confiscating the ball from opponents throughout the match. Because in addition to the Munich rout, the performances against Bilbao (1-1) and Getafe (2-1) would not have convinced him at all that Koeman remains the suitable man to manage after Messi in Catalonia.

Even if Koeman is not ejected within three games, the divorce seems inevitable in the long term.

“

My relationship with Laporta has improved,” Koeman told Dutch journalists last week.

But last week something happened that I consider bad.

He suggested that the coach does not have all the powers.

He has talked too much.

"

Weakened internally with only, since Antoine Griezmann's departure from Atletico Madrid on August 31, his compatriot Memphis Depay as the only world-class striker in his workforce, Koeman understood that his status at Barça had frayed this summer and that he probably wouldn't make it through the fall.
