First Oliver Glasner and his team were late several times - then he was banned by the European Football Union Uefa and now has to pause.
The Austrian missed the Europa League opener with Eintracht Frankfurt for a curious reason: Because VfL Wolfsburg came back too late after half-time in three European Cup games under his leadership, the club and coach were sanctioned.
There was a fine for the club, Glasner is not allowed into the interior against Fenerbahce on Thursday (9 p.m. / TV Now).
The Hessians have experience with coach bans in the European Cup.
Under Glasner's predecessor Adi Hütter, Eintracht had to compete at Inter Milan without the boss and still prevailed at the time.
This season, the Frankfurt team will meet the club from Istanbul, Royal Antwerp and Olympiacos Piraeus.
