Jerome Boateng is said to have fined 1.8 million euros.

But now the former star of FC Bayern Munich has appealed to the local court.

Munich - Jérôme Boateng (33) will not accept his court judgment.

According to exclusive

tz

information, the star kicker has appealed to the Munich district court.

But that's not all: Boateng has also hired new lawyers to help him out of a tight spot in the criminal trial for willful bodily harm.

Boateng received a tough judgment from the district court on September 9th in Munich: The ex-professional of FC Bayern has to pay a total of 1.8 million euros for hitting his former partner with his fist and insulting him.

Judge Kai Dingerdissen saw this as proven.

But this punishment was obviously too much for Boateng.

He had a week to think about a possible appointment - yesterday he made the relevant application.

"Newly appointed defense lawyers for the defendant have appealed, as have the public prosecutor and the accessory prosecutor," confirms Anne Leiding, spokeswoman for the Munich I public prosecutor.

What does the calling mean?

It is almost certain that the criminal process will now be rescheduled at the Munich I Regional Court.

That also means: "In this case, the taking of evidence would be repeated in full," explains Klaus-Peter Jüngst, spokesman for the Munich district court.

All witnesses then have to testify again - including Boateng and his former partner, who reported him in autumn 2018.

She brought serious allegations of violence to court.

“Almost every day,” Boateng said, “humiliated and beaten her”.

But only one punch could be proven in court.

Public prosecutor's office is probably examining the appeal

The district court sentenced Jérôme Boateng to 60 daily rates - you only have a criminal record from a number of 91.

But: Judge Dingerdissen set the maximum rate for the daily rates: 30,000 euros.

This is how much, the court estimated, the football star deserves.

Despite the high fine, experts had even considered the verdict to be mild, because the public prosecutor had demanded a year and six months imprisonment for Boateng, which can be suspended on probation.

The judge refused and left it with the fine.

The judgment hit Boateng's reputation much harder anyway.

Since then he has officially been regarded as a woman's thug.

The repetition process will then be about everything for him.

He is currently back on the field for the French Club Olympique Lyon: Boateng came on for the first time at the weekend.
