Brazilian football legend Pele has today been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Sao Paulo Hospital, where he is being treated after the removal of a tumor in his colon.
And Brazilian media reported that the legendary Edson Arantes do Nascimento, 80, known as Pele, was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital, where he had previously underwent surgery last Saturday to remove a colon tumor.
It is noteworthy that Pele is the only player in history to win the World Cup three times, 1958, 1962 and 1970, and during his career he scored 1,281 goals in 1,363 matches.
