Real Madrid announced the absence of French player Ferland Mendy from the team due to injury.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the left-back Mendy, who recently returned from injury, suffered a new muscle setback during the last training session before his team's match against Valencia, and he will be absent from matches for a period of up to 3 weeks.
Mendy, 26, is scheduled to return to the team on October 17, before facing Athletic Bilbao, unless he suffers new setbacks.
