Before the season, the red-whites were included in the group of favorites by almost all coaches, but after seven games Andreas Eckardt's squad is only in tenth place.
Most recently it set three defeats in a row.
“In the end, the season is anything but desired - we had set completely different goals for ourselves,” admits the sporting director Patrick Tischer.
The preparation went well, reports Tischer. “We only lost the cup game against Altenerding, and you can see what's going on in Altenerding.” That encouraged those in charge to be on the right track, “and we actually thought we would be among the top four - but then the bad luck with injuries struck ”.
For example, the Kletthamer started the season with two equal goalkeepers, "because if you want to play up front, you need two good goalkeepers," says Tischer, who is a goalkeeper himself. Florian Zettl and Bence Tamicza was the name of the duo. "But then Bence stopped immediately before the start of the point round for personal and professional reasons, and what happened to Flo ...", Tischer faltered briefly. The 24-year-old suffered a fractured skull in an unfortunate collision in the first game of the season against Berglern and had to end his career (we reported). “That was a nightmare for me, and I'm glad that Flo finally got out of the number so well.” But he is happy that Zettl wants to get involved in the coaching staff: “He's a climbing man and will stay with us obtain."
So the red-whites suddenly stood there without a goalkeeper.
Max Hilmer agreed to help out and is now number one.
And then Tischer was able to loose his special Roland Hannes from Langenpreising, so that the goalkeeper team is now complete again.
But there were also some bad news among the field players: Emir Hadzikic tore a cruciate ligament, and newcomer Sebastian Hinz had permanent knee problems - he will not be able to avoid an operation.
“It runs like a red thread,” says Tischer.
The start of the season was all the more surprising under these conditions, because the 0: 3 at the start against Berglern was followed by a 2: 1 against Finsing 2, a 3: 3 against Aspis Taufkirchen and a 4: 1 against Hörgersdorf.
But then it set three bitter defeats against Moosinning 2 (2: 3), Forstern (1: 3) and Isen (0: 1).
Last weekend and at the beginning of the week, a gastrointestinal virus was also rampant in the team, "and on Tuesday we only had four men in training," reports the sports director. On Thursday, the next player promptly signed off: Captain Florian Simmet was diagnosed with a fatigue fracture in the sesamoid bone: a break of six to eight weeks.
And then there is Zoran Pejic. The most successful district goalscorer in recent years had moved from Neuching to Klettham before the season, scored four times in the first five games, but is now no longer as expected. “We imagined it a little differently, but so did he, of course,” emphasizes Tischer. But he takes the Serbs under protection, because their preparation was anything but optimal. "At first he was out of action because of a kidney stone operation, then he was on vacation in his home country, but we knew that," reports the sports director. Nevertheless, the vote does not yet fit. “He has his own way of playing and his own paths,” says Tischer. In addition, Pejic has been suffering from muscular problems for weeks and is not quite fit. The sporting director openly admits:“Nobody is satisfied at the moment.” For him, the most important thing is “that we keep calm now,” explains Tischer. “And the teammates have to find a better bond with Zoran.” The Serbian actually has to take a break for at least two weeks in order to cure himself, “but that's just not possible at the moment”. What is also important for Klettham's sporting director: "We mustn't forget our second one." She is currently last in the A-class, which is no wonder for Tischer, "because the misery of personnel runs down like a rat's tail, of course." . Of course, you absolutely want the reserve to keep the class, and so those responsible have to rethink every week: "Who is playing where?"
For Tischer, who does not want to be driven crazy by the current situation, the maxim now applies: “Make the most of it.” After this suboptimal start to the season, the club has of course corrected the goals downwards. Two top teams will be waiting for the next two match days: Eichenried and Moosen. "We are of course blatant outsiders," knows Patrick Tischer, for whom the motto now applies: "We just have to keep calm and mustn't let ourselves be driven crazy."
