A wide participation witnessed the course of upgrading the new bodybuilding coaches to the third degree, which was held by the Game Federation at the headquarters of the General Sports Federation in Damascus.
Head of the Body Building Federation, Manar Heikal, said in a statement to SANA’s representative: “This course was very popular, which is evidence of the development of the game and the desire to practice it, knowing that this course comes at the end of the training courses of the Federation this year, and it has received the participation of more than 200 students.”
Heikal added: The course touched on many topics presented by specialized lecturers in terms of medicine and nutrition, which are very important for playing the game in terms of correcting common mistakes that coaches and players may make in clubs, explaining that the Federation organizes a number of training courses throughout the year centrally and in the governorates. Secretary of the Federation Samir Ismail indicated that the course focused, along with the nutrition axis, which occupies the largest space in the game, on the foundations of modern training and exercises, highlighting the prohibited exercises and the great damage that may be caused to the player, in addition to injuries and ways to treat them.
The head of the technical committee for the game in Damascus, Iyad Muhani, explained that the course was held under the supervision of the committee, and it was an important opportunity for the coaches to keep abreast of the developments of training and awareness of the dangers of doping and to build the player healthy, pointing out that he sensed a great desire among the students to keep pace with everything new in the game, which reflected positively on the development of the levels of their trainees.
The desire to develop the level appeared greatly on the male and female students, as they indicated the importance of the course in developing their knowledge about the science of training, expressing their readiness to participate in the upcoming promotion courses that the Federation will announce next year.
