The Colombian striker enters after game time, participates in 2-0 and scores 3-0 against Getafe that disintegrated from the excessive 1-0 penalty and adds five consecutive defeats

Chronicle

At lunchtime, on the extravagant evening at 2:00 p.m., Radamel Falcao bit twice in Vallecas. The vocation to fight, the attention that does not wane, the fervor to give each ball a worthy destiny and the intelligence to intuit each false step of his markers, covered him with ovations in his debut with Rayo. The Colombian entered after the hour of a game that Getafe was trying to redirect, and in ten minutes he caused the corner that was sustained at 2-0 and the 3-0 was manufactured with an old hunter's uncheck. Even the fasting public acclaimed him as a consecrated idol while he kissed the shield of the shirt before the exultant stands. In two actions he had liquidated the derby in the south of Madrid. A rough game, plagued by interruptions, 36 fouls, 13 yellow cards, and some controversial refereeing decisions that extended the playing time to 99 minutes and contributed to less disorienting to Rayo than to Getafe, sunk to the bottom of the table after five consecutive defeats.

The sweet, sunny morning did not presage such a cloudy crash.

Nor did the start of the game make one think about the lack of control in which Getafe would derive, which began by causing a foul that Ünal crashed on the crossbar.

Goals1-0 min. 8: Trejo. 2-0 min. 77: Ismaila Ciss. 3-0 min. 80: Falcao. Referee Adrián Cordero Vega Yellow cards Baby (min. 6), Djene (min. 7), Chema (min. 17), Damián Suárez (min. 37), Mathías Olivera (min. 40), Saveljich (min. 41), Comesaña (min. 47), Fran Garcia (min. 45), Aleñá (min. 65), Enes Unal (min. 82), Balliu (min. 84), Ismaila Ciss (min. 93) and José Macías (min. 94)

The two teams were testing each other when Catena sent a long ball for Baby to look for it in the empty corridor behind Getafe's right-back. Ironies of football, Míchel lined up two right-backs: Iglesias and Suárez. The trap, which surely intended to lock up Trejo, did not even serve to dissuade Baby, who intimidated his bullies, threatened with the center and unloaded the middle. The Portuguese did not do anything really dangerous but he generated so much concern in this altered Getafe that in the middle of the area Djené busied himself to cover Nteka as if he were about to finish. The Togolese spread his arms back to his mark, his elbow contacted Nteka's face, and what seemed like trivial friction 30 meters from the ball was subject to VAR review. Warned of a possible penalty, the referee Cordero Vega went to the screen and decreed the punishment. Óscar Trejo made it 1-0.

"The details have all been against us," lamented Jaime Mata, after the fray.

“The penalty reviewed by the VAR changes everything.

It hurts you a lot emotionally ”.

"I dreamed of marking"

Trejo's goal channeled the local team's company before ten minutes and unleashed anxiety and misfortunes in Getafe.

Three minutes after the penalty, Jankto's cleats caught in the grass and he had to be withdrawn with a prognosis of serious joint injury.

Míchel changed it to Vitolo and began to shake his head between disbelief and rage.

Getafe was disfigured by losing the ball while Rayo kept the organization at the dictation of Trejo, Ciss and Comesaña.

At halftime, Míchel introduced Florentino and Macías, and retired Damián Suárez and the deranged Chema. It was enough to give Getafe the poise and sense to stabilize, at least while the ball rolled. The indefinite series of crashes, fouls and technical problems of Cordero Vega with his earpiece, were submerging the game in a swamp. In full confusion, like someone who lets go of a wild animal, Iraola put Falcao in. It was the 71st minute. Five minutes later, his cunning caused the corner that Catena and Ciss hit with a header. Another five minutes later, he cheated on Cuenca and Silva on his way to the center circle, stirred, unchecked, and with a crossed shot he finished off the 3-0 pass from Ciss.

"I dreamed of being able to jump onto the field and score," said the hero before the Movistar camera, before going to have a snack;

"My colleagues have given me a lot of encouragement, I have felt very comfortable."

Victim of the first attack by the

on his return to Spain, Getafe was lying on the grass.

Looking very bad, because his season begins to look like a path of torment: he accumulates eight goals against for one in favor.

Not even the penalty whistled in the 85th minute served as a balm.

Ünal adjusted it to the goalkeeper's right post but Dimitrievski guessed his intention and took it off.

"The championship is being very cruel to us," Míchel lamented in the conference that followed the match in Vallecas.
