Syrian judo player Muhammad Mawardi made his way through his game since his childhood, and with the passage of years and the regularity of his training and participation in local tournaments, his ambitions rose to represent Syria in foreign tournaments.
In a statement to SANA, 19-year-old Mawardi said: I started my career in the game when I entered the ninth year, with the encouragement of my family, and during my career in the game at Al-Nasr Club in Quneitra, and with the encouragement of the most efficient coaches in the club, namely Oqba Mawardi, Hazem Ramadan and Hassan Al-Kurdi, I participated strongly in local tournaments and achieved advanced positions, and that was the beginning With the center the gold of the Junior Olympics 2017, the gold of the Republic Championship in 2018, and the gold of the Damascus Championship 2019.
Mawardi added: I maintained the first place in the Republic championships, continued the competition, and won the gold of the championship that was held in Aleppo this year as a result of the commitment.
Training in light of the great follow-up of coaches who spared no effort in order to maintain the skill level required to compete in the championships.
Maurdi is preparing, through his intensive local training, to compete in the upcoming tournaments, as he indicated that he will spare no effort to achieve his ambition to stand on the international podiums.
The representation of Syria in these forums is the best, indicating that the Asian Championship, which will be held next November, is the most prominent entitlement for him during the coming period, and he will make great efforts to be within the ranks of the national team to compete in the upcoming championship in the 55 kg weight category.
