Almost a week after the victory of AC Milan against Lazio (2-0), an investigation was opened after racist cries directed against the French Tiémoué Bakayoko.
The midfielder, loaned to the Serie A coleader by Chelsea, came into play in the 61st minute, to the chants of Lazio fans' parking.
The Italian football federation announced it on Friday evening in a statement published on its site.
“The Federal Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation against Lazio following the complaint filed by AC Milan for discriminatory chants by Biancocelesti supporters against player Bakayoko during the Milan-Lazio match on September 12th.
The prosecution acquires the videos of the match and the documents held by the Milan police headquarters ”, we can read.
As of the beginning of the week, AC Milan announced to seize the federation, indicating on its Twitter account wanting "that the light be made on the cries coming from the sector of the visiting supporters".

Following the meeting, Bakayoko, the former player of AS Monaco, had mentioned the situation on a post on Instagram.
“To some Lazio fans and their racist cries towards me and my brother Franck Kessié.
We are strong and proud of our skin color.
I have complete confidence in our club to identify them, ”he wrote.

These last seasons, apart from the 2020-2021 fiscal year played behind closed doors, have been regularly marked by these incidents during matches of the Italian championship, in particular with the trivialization of monkey cries. Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi was targeted three years ago, as was Mario Balotelli two years ago from supporters of Hellas Verona and Lazio Rome.
