At the notorious Hahnenkamm run in Kitzbühel, he surprisingly won the World Cup race.
The first victory of a German on the prestigious route - since Sepp Ferstl was at the top of the podium there in 1979.
With a lady, however, he has always had a place in the heart for over seven years.
He found happiness in his private life with his Birgit.
It's planned forever.
Already on June 5th Dreßen shared an impressive wedding picture with the words: "Life is better with your best friend, that's why I married mine".
Hand in hand, in costume, in front of a beautiful mountain backdrop.
