Stefan Kuntz is the new head coach of the Turkish national soccer team.
The Turkish association TFF announced on Sunday.
The contract will be signed on Monday afternoon, the TFF announced.
On Sunday, the European champions from 1996 set off for Turkey.
Kuntz is the successor to Senol Günes, who was dismissed after several failures.
The German ex-national player had already traveled to Turkey in the past few days for talks with the new national team director and ex-Bundesliga professional Hamit Altintop.
The Turkish association had already signaled an imminent agreement.
Three finals, two titles
On Friday, the Presidium of the German Football Association (DFB) gave Kuntz approval in the event of an agreement.
"Due to Stefan Kuntz's successes with the German U21 national team and his special relationship with Turkey, the DFB does not want to obstruct this next step in his career," the association announced.
Under the direction of Kunz, the German U21 team had recently reached the European Championship finals three times in a row and won the title twice.
After the disappointing performance at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, speculation about the future of the coach increased.
