The Italian Football Federation has rejected Lazio's appeal to reduce coach Maurizio Sarri's sentence after he was sent off against Milan.
The Federation said in a statement on its official website: “The first section of the National Sports Court headed by Carmine Volpi rejected Lazio’s appeal against the suspension imposed by the sports judge on Maurizio Sarri after his expulsion in the Milan match against Lazio.”
The Italian Federation suspended the Lazio coach for two matches after attacking a Milan player immediately after the final whistle, which his team lost 0-2 in the framework of the third stage of the Italian league competitions.
The former coach of Juventus, Chelsea and Napoli will miss Turin next Thursday after an appeal against his two-match ban was rejected.
