Alfasi (49) broke through as a youth coach when he led Maccabi Netanya to win the state cup and the championship. He even led Sharett High School to winning the high school championship. He came to the Premier League after being Ofer Berkovich's assistant in Ashkelon and the latter resigned, so in 2008 he accepted the team for half a season. After that season he returned to Elitzur Netanya, led it to the Premier League with a season without losses in Leumit and reached with the team until the semi-finals of the Final Four and the final of the State Cup.

In 2011 he moved to Elitzur Ashkelon, and at the same time was appointed Arik Shibek's assistant in the Israeli national team. After the season in Ashkelon, he was left out for one season, coaching the youth team in the second tier European Championship, and during the 2013/14 season he received Maccabi Ashdod, but was unable to keep the team in the league. In the summer of 2015, he returned to the Premier League and was appointed municipal coach of Nahariya, which he led in two terms to the European Cup quarterfinals, participation in the FIBA Champions League, and fourth place in the Premier League, when he even won the title of coach of the season in the Premier League.

In the summer of 2019, he received his last position in the first league as the coach of Hapoel Eilat.

During last season, he was called to Elitzur Ashkelon to try and help the team advance to the Premier League, but lost in the Aliyah series to Netanya, which he coached for many years.
