The Syrian Olympic football team concluded its internal camp in Damascus in preparation for the West Asian Federation Championship scheduled in Saudi Arabia next month.
Our team conducted morning and evening training at Al-Fayhaa training ground, knowing that the camp had started since the eighteenth of this month, with the players regrouping next Sunday in preparation for traveling to Saudi Arabia and participating in the West Asian Championship.
Our team had played two friendly matches with its Jordanian counterpart, the first of which lost a goal without a response and tied the second with two goals to the same earlier this month in Jordan in a training camp.
The draw for the second WAFA U-23 Championship placed our team in the third group along with the teams of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, noting that the first group included the teams of Jordan, Yemen, Kuwait and Oman, and the second group included Palestine, the Emirates, Lebanon and Iraq.
According to the tournament system, the first place winners from the three groups, in addition to the best second place winner, qualify for the semi-finals.
