The semi-final picture of the Winner 2021 Cup will be completed tonight (Wednesday) at the end of the game in which Maccabi Tel Aviv meets Maccabi Rishon Lezion at the battle for the fourth and final ticket, which will send the winner to the game against Hapoel Jerusalem this coming Friday (14:30).

To date, the Yellows and Oranges have met six times in the Winner's Cup: the balance is 1: 5 in favor of the doubles team, with the only victory for Rishon Lezion being in the 2018/19 season on the way to the team's only victory in the factory.

The pre-season of Maccabi Tel Aviv was very problematic due to the infection of five players in Corona, and so far the team of Yannis Sapropoulos has held only one preparation game in which they lost 83:77 to Bnei Herzliya.

Scotty Wilbkin, Derrick Williams and Jaylen Reynolds are not yet fit for tonight's game, while Yiftach Ziv and John Dibertolomeo are back on the roster.

In the team of Guy Goodes, who did not achieve a victory in preparation but defeated Hapoel Beer Sheva 75:80 in the eighth finals of the Winner's Cup, Lis Shoshi makes his debut.

At the center of attention is Noam Dovrat, the young and talented guard who decided to stay at Maccabi Rishon Lezion for another season and will hope to prove in the coming year that he belongs to much higher levels.

the progress of the game

Quarter 1:

Yiftach Ziv, Keinan Evans, James Nanley, Angelo Cloiaro and Ante Žižić started in the Maccabi Tel Aviv quintet, while Maccabi Rishon Lezion came up with Noam Dovrat, Chris Claibren, Nathaniel Artzi, T.J. A. Williams and Malik Day. Evans, Nanley and Ziv scored a hat-trick each in the opening, but Williams, Artzi and a spokeswoman made sure to maintain a 9: 9 tie and the coordinator shot a three-pointer that gave his team a first-half advantage. Cloiaro turned in Maccabi's favor, Claiborn got involved and together with Artzi led a 0: 9 run to Rishon Lezion on the way to a six-point lead. Zizic got into things on offense, but the champions' defense continued to absorb and after a three by Artzi and points from the line of John Dibertolomeo, the quarter ended at 25:28 for Maccabi Rishon Lezion.

Quarter 2:

Sorkin came in from the bench and immediately contributed a dunk, but Goodes' players answered with seven unanswered points and after Sorkin and Dime exchanged baskets, the teams went down to a timeout at 29:37 for Rishon Lezion.

Blazer and Žižić offset the difference to a point, the Croatian continued to be eager and towards the break, Dibertolomeo and Ziv completed a 0:15 run that gave Maccabi Tel Aviv 37:44 at the end of the half.
