At the start of the regional bowling league, Gut Holz Eglfing met Fortuna Schwabmünchen.
A lot came together on the host side - in the end there was a defeat.

Eberfing - "Behavior" was a word that Andreas Gattinger used very often when it came to evaluating the first season appearance of the SKC Gut Holz Eberfing sports bowlers in the state league and classifying the results of the players - Gattinger was one of them. Everyone was happy that it started again, reports the veteran. For the past year and a half, bowlers have been severely affected by Corona.
One season (2019/2020) ended shortly before the end, the other (2020/2021) canceled after just a few match days.
"Everyone really wanted to," said Gattinger - and added: "You might get tense." In any case, the Eberfinger did not call all of what they could in the duel with Fortuna Schwabmünchen.
In the end there was a 3-5 home defeat.
The decisive factor was (after a 3: 3 in the direct duels) the total wood number;
Eberfing had reached 36 less wood than the guests.
The top results are missing in the start and middle pair
“All in all,” stated Gattinger, “Schwabmünchen deserved to win”.
The guests had two top results with Hans-Peter Breyer (594 wood / in the starting pair) and Michael Schaller (603 / in the middle pair).
These two results "were their match winners", analyzed Gattinger.
The boar fingers only really got going in the final pair. Eric Kühberger (584) and Markus Lindner (572) played well and each scored a team point, but in the end it wasn't enough to catch the fortunes. With a few more throws it might have succeeded, but after exactly 120 throws it is over for every player.
At the beginning, the hosts delivered "two restrained results," as Gattinger put it. Alois Kriesmair (531) and Tobias Zahler (523) were unable to call up their usual capabilities. With 0: 2 and 74 wood behind it went into the middle pair. There Hubert Resch got a team point with 542 wood. He took 22 pieces of wood from his opponents (Jürgen and Markus Below each played two sets). In the other duel, Gattinger (545) clearly lost to Schaller (603). But the matter was not that clear: For three sentences the two delivered a balanced duel. In the fourth round, Gattinger came up with 120 wood, the Schwabmünchener, on the other hand, surprisingly came up trumps with 171 wood and thus jumped the 600 wood mark for the first time. The luck on that day was actually still with Fortuna.
