During the Tokyo Summer Olympics, the USOPC did not require its members to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
About 100 of the 613 athletes defending the American colors went to Japan without being vaccinated.
Among them, American swimmer Michael Andrew, who was criticized during the Games for not wearing a mask during his interactions with the media.
Former US Olympic swimmer Maya DiRado has accused Andrew of endangering his pool partners by refusing to be vaccinated.
The International Olympic Committee does not impose compulsory vaccination for athletes involved in its events.
The USOPC said it would review immunization exemptions on a case-by-case basis.
Unvaccinated people who would benefit from it would then have to undergo a daily Covid-19 test, paid for by the authority.
