Bayern Munich played almost a whole half of the game against individually clearly inferior Fürthers. Although Bayern seemed fragile at times, the victory was sovereign in the end.

Greuther Fürth is considered the first relegation candidate in the Bundesliga.

In the Bundesliga Friday game, however, the franc sold remarkably dearly against record champions Bayern Munich.

In their 3-1 (2-0) win, Bayern had big problems at times, despite goals from Thomas Müller (10th minute), Joshua Kimmich (31st) and the own goal by Fürth's Sebastian Griesbeck (68th).

Bayern's Benjamin Pavard was even red-handed because of a rough foul (48th).

The Fürth goal was scored by Cedric Itten (88th).

Although the starting positions before the game were so far apart as in any other Bundesliga game, the Fürth team acted courageously in the early stages.

However, this resulted in spaces that the record champions knew how to use: The fast Alphonso Davies sprinted the ball down the left wing and brought the ball into the back area, Müller hit the left inner post (10th).

Fürth, which has the lowest budget in the league and has hardly any player with Bundesliga experience, always ran high and sometimes took high risks.

And it became dangerous every now and then, especially through set pieces that were always dangerously drawn towards the goal.

The next goal was scored by Bayern again: Leroy Sané moved from the bustle on the edge of the penalty area into the back area, Joshua Kimmich pushed deliberately into the right corner (31st).

Not Lewandowski's day

An even higher lead prevented the crossbar, on which a direct pick from Robert Lewandowski clapped (40th).

It was not to be the day of Lewandowski, who was honored with the Golden Shoe for the best goalscorer in Europe during the week.

But it didn't need that either.

But then an exciting second half seemed to be imminent: Bayern's Pavard slipped into the legs of former Bayern youth player Julian Green from behind, referee Schröder gave the 2018 world champion the red card (48th).

But the Fürth team didn't really make much out of their majority, on the contrary: After a sharp free-kick flank, Griesbeck hit his own goal in a duel with Lewandowski, who remained goalless (68th).

The Fürthern managed a consolation goal after all: After a cross from the right side, substitute Itten headed into the left corner (88th).
