This morning the newspapers and websites praised the leader of the table, who by the way has already managed to beat Juventus and whose two 0-4 results this week were achieved away.

Spalletti said after the game: "We got a good result, but Sampdoria caused us a lot of problems in the first half. We deserve credit for staying in the game and being able to fend off its pressure in those minutes."

The coach added: "We are just a football team that enjoys the great love that there is in its city towards it and its uniform. We have to stay calm because to get to the Champions League (places 1-4) we usually need 80-85 points. That means we are missing another 72 to to be safe".
