Hama, SANA-The Equestrian Federation, in cooperation with the Martyr Basil al-Assad Equestrian Club in Hama, held a championship for the Olympics.

The Equestrian Federation, in cooperation with the Martyr Basil Al-Assad Equestrian Club in Hama, held a tournament for the Special Olympics (People of Determination), with the participation of riders from several governorates.

The championship was held in three categories, in addition to the teams category, where the first was for the walking category, with the participation of the riders of the Basil Al-Assad Equestrian Club in Hama, namely Anas Al-Shawi, Ahmed Al-Fakhouri, Nasreen, Lina Makiya, and Damascus jockey Muhammad Takrouri and Abdullah Al-Imam.

Also, in the second category (trot with a companion) the jockeys of Damascus Selina Daoud, Anas Nabulsi, Ahmed Majar and Abdul Raouf Sheikh Ali, while the third category (trot without an accompanying) witnessed the participation of the Persians of Aleppo Ammar Al-Hafiz, Amseeh Barsoum and the Damascus knights Abdul Hadi Derkhbani, Ashraf Manasfi, Zubaida Shweiti, Rama Mansour and Shahd Nabulsi and Usaid Zard.

The head of the jury, Jihad Marei, said in a statement to SANA: “We formed the Damascus team at the Martyr Basil al-Assad Equestrian Club. The team’s distinguished start was almost seven years ago, and we have at least thirty horsemen who were able during the last period to prove their presence in the equestrian arenas and in society.” .

Marei expressed his happiness with the return of Hama equestrian to the championships, wishing that this championship would be the beginning of the return of show-jumping activities in Hama, especially since it has a distinguished club and is supervised by distinguished administrative and technical cadres.
