Hapoel Beer Sheva - Maccabi Tel Aviv 0: 2 (Sport 1)

It seems that not only Maccabi Tel Aviv fans who are disappointed with the results with Patrick Van Leven miss Vladan Ivic.

Greece is also trying to bring it back, but so far without success.

According to reports in Greece last night (Saturday), the 44-year-old coach recently received an offer from Maris Thessaloniki and rejected it outright.

Ivica, who wore Eris' uniform as a player, grew up as a coach with his sworn rival Fauk, but the refusal of the latter offer was not due to a motive of loyalty but to a completely professional consideration.

Ivica reportedly sees a return to the league he previously coached a step back, so is unwilling to consider it even though he has not coached since being sacked by Watford in December 2020.

Bessarabia claims that "Ivica is patiently waiting for the right offer, and is in no hurry to return to the countries where he has worked in the past, even though he is highly valued there."

Ivica has been mentioned in recent months as a candidate for Panathinaikos and Sheffield Wednesday, and was also among the candidates to coach the Serbian national team.

He eventually stays home, and seems willing to wait as long as it takes to find the next challenge.
