Born in 2006, Dean Berta Viñales participated in his first season in Supersport 300 and was in 22nd place in the championship.
A member of the Viñales Racing Team, he was the cousin of Maverick Viñales, 26, rider of the MotoGP circuit and currently 8th in the World Championship, dominated by the French Fabio Quartararo.
Maverick's father, Angel Viñales, runs their joint stable.
Other races were to be held throughout the weekend in Jerez, but the competition remains for the moment logically suspended.
All races scheduled for this Saturday have already been canceled.
