Dean Berta Vinales lost his life on Saturday afternoon after a serious accident as a result of a mass fall.
The cousin of MotoGP rider Maverick Vinales was run over by several riders after the incident on the track and succumbed to serious injuries to his head and upper body.
"We are sad to have to announce the death of Dean Berta Vinales," said the organizers of the Superbike World Championship on social channels.
All other competitions that day were canceled after the drama about Vinales.

Physicians who were on the move treated the motorcycle racer on the track, but were ultimately unable to save the 15-year-old due to the head injuries he had suffered.
The case is reminiscent of an accident also in Jerez - two years earlier and in the same racing series.
A Yamaha Racing project manager said that motorcycle racing has lost a top talent with potential to become a title contender: "We are all aware of the risks of motorcycle racing, but that doesn't make it any easier when the sport demands a life like it has happened today." , says Andrea Dosoli.
