In the 2nd Bundesliga, the northern clubs experienced a problematic Sunday lunchtime.

Werder Bremen threatened to slide into a crisis after a 0: 3 (0: 1) at Dynamo Dresden, Hannover 96 lost 1: 2 (0: 0) against SV Sandhausen.

After all, Hamburger SV scored, after being twice behind, HSV scored 2: 2 (1: 1) against 1. FC Nürnberg.

One week after the derby defeat against HSV, Werder suffered the next setback. At the newly promoted Dynamo Dresden, Bremen showed a poor performance, in the eighth league game of the relegated Bundesliga it is already the third defeat. Especially in the build-up game, Bremen struggled against high-running Dresdeners, Dynamo repeatedly won the balls in the opposing half or forced uncontrolled long balls from Bremen.

However, the lead fell after a counterattack: Ransford Königsdörffer seemed to have actually dribbled into the penalty area, but then flicked the ball against the crossbar; Christoph Daferner then won the second ball and hit from close range over the inside post for the lead (40th minute). Daferner increased (66th), before Bremen's Niclas Füllkrug failed with the best guest chance on the post (69th). Morris Schröter decided the game (75th). As a result of the success, Dynamo jumps to sixth place. Werder slips to tenth place.

The mood at HSV was better after last weekend, but Hamburg also had a hard time in the post-derby week. Against Nuremberg you noticed the Hamburgers especially the absence of captain Sebastian Schonlau, who had seen yellow-red against Werder. Schonlau's 19-year-old substitute, Mario Vušković, made an unfortunate debut, already in the 22nd minute he gave the penalty to the deficit by Enrico Valentini.

Hamburg's Sonny Kittel still had bad luck with degrees, but Robert Glatzel equalized (34th). Hamburg's problems on the defensive remained, however: Lino Tempelmann headed uncovered just a few seconds after the restart to take the lead again (46th). In front of 24,000 spectators in the Volksparkstadion, Nuremberg could not add more and repeatedly counterattacks, one of which Glatzel used to double. Both teams missed the jump to promotion or relegation rank.

The third north German club also did not win on Sunday afternoon: Against Sandhausen, Hannover made two serious defensive errors within a few minutes, Immanuel Höhn (73rd) and Daniel Keita-Ruel (78th) brought the sand houses, where coach Alois Schwartz his return celebrated on the sidelines, in the lead.

Schwartz Sandhausen had already trained between 2013 and 2016, and the change of coach was announced during the week.

Hanover's Dominik Kaiser only managed to hit the next goal (82nd).
