Paris Saint-Germain has continued its winning streak in the French football championship.
The Champions League opponents of Bundesliga club RB Leipzig won their home game against Montpellier HSC 2-0 (1-0) on Saturday.
Thanks to the goals of Idrissa Gueye in the 14th minute and Julian Draxler in the 88th minute, the star ensemble, which has to do without Lionel Messi, who is injured with a knee, celebrated their eighth win in the eighth game and is unchallenged at the top of the table.
FC Lorient fails
Chasing FC Lorient, however, lost two points.
The surprise team had to be content with a 1-1 at Olympique Lyon after a 1-0 lead at the break.
Armand Lariente (20th) had put Lorient in the lead, Karl Toko Ekambi (50th) equalized for the hosts.
Olympique Marseille are second in the table with 14 points ten points behind PSG, but after violent riots at the game in Nice (the game was canceled and must be repeated) they also played two games less.
