Maccabi Tel Aviv coach Yannis Sapropoulos talks about the pre-season (Maccabi Tel Aviv spokeswoman)
Maccabi Tel Aviv will advance tonight (Sunday, 20:45) to the winner of the Winner's Cup against Hapoel Eilat when, apart from its desire to win the first title of the season, it is busy trying to strengthen the staff with a temporary player.
Yesterday, the Yellows announced that chin Ante Žižić is suffering from a small tear in the back thigh muscle from the game against Maccabi Rishon Lezion.
This means that Žižić will be out of action for about a month and a half, although sources in the system claim that it is very possible that he will return earlier.
Upon learning of his injury, the Yellows began thinking about adding a player on a temporary contract as the team's front line for this period will include Jaylen Reynolds starting to get fit, and two players who can play inside but are not chins - Jake Cohen and Roman Sorkin.

The team has been offered a large number of players since Friday, among the prominent names are Alex Tios, Matthias Lasort, Greg Monroe and more, but Maccabi is not enthusiastic about any of the options presented to them so far.
The club knows that only a free agent will be considered, because releasing a player from a team in exchange for a temporary contract does not seem realistic.
"Surely we need to react quickly," the morning club said, "In the current squad we are in trouble with deep Euroleague teams."
Maccabi wants to bring in a player hopefully this week, but at the latest for the game against the Red Star next week, when during the expected absence of Zizic the team is expected to play seven games.
