Oberding - Within just four weeks, three TuS kickers gave their girlfriends the `` I do ''.

“That was practically our triple,” says soccer department head Tobi Huber with a laugh.

The weddings had been postponed due to Corona. “The new dates had been fixed for a long time and were scheduled for Saturdays,” says Huber. “We didn't know if and when the season would start, then we thought, because we have an odd group, that we might get free of play at the beginning.” That didn't quite work, and so wedding celebration would be number one , which captain Tobi Stürzer almost "collided" with the game against SC Moosen. The wedding was scheduled for August 14th, the Moosen game for August 15th. "One of the people suggested that we should drink the last half at midnight, then the players would be in bed at 1 o'clock, then they could play," says Huber and laughs. "We then brought the game forward to Friday." Stürzer actually wanted to play, because the squad was very thin due to the many vacationers, "but then he preferred to let it be". TuS played 1: 1, "and after the draw against the favorites, the wedding turned out to be great," states the department head.

Tobi Stürzer and his Anja (née Lagger) were married in the Oberdingen town hall.

The industrial engineer and the optician met in 2007 at the Sunrise disco in Erding.

The celebrations took place in the Forster am See inn.

"150 people, almost all of the players were there," says Huber.

The young couple had a couple of days, TuS had no play on August 22nd, and on August 29th, in a 2-0 win against SV Buch, the long-time TuS captain was back on the pitch.

That was two days after Dominik Fröhlich's wedding. At 35, the oldest of the four kicking Fröhlich brothers, who predominantly plays in the second, “but could also play in the first at any time”, as Huber put it, married his Sandra (née Stockinger). The key account manager at Munich Airport and the master hairdresser met through Tinder in 2016. Missed a game because of the wedding? “That wasn't an issue for the Nik,” reports Huber. He was on the pitch a week before, at 3: 3 from TuS 2 at SC Kirchasch 2, and two days later, at 5: 0 against FC Grünbach. "He didn't miss a game."

The wedding celebration itself was extraordinary and ran under the motto “Hawaii meets Oberding”.

The couple, who often travel the east coast of the USA and Hawaii, actually wanted to get married on the island, but this was not possible due to the corona pandemic.

Now Hawaii has just been brought to Oberding.

The celebrations took place in close family circles - a Hawaiian shirt and wreath of flowers were compulsory, the newlyweds wore white.

Despite the cold and rain, the kicker colleagues insisted on standing in line.

Where is the honeymoon going?

No question.

“To Hawaii, of course,” says Huber.

"And then we get married again."

Meeting of cultures: Nelson Pones from Saxony and Julia Huber from Bavaria got married in Erdingen town hall.

A week later, Nelson Pones and his Julia (née Huber) wedded to the wedding - this is where two “cultures” meet. The professional soldier who is stationed in Manching comes from Saxony, the retail saleswoman is a true Bavarian - her brother plays at SpVgg Eichenkofen. The couple got to know each other in 2016 at the Erdinger Herbstfest, and the two have been in a relationship since May 2017. Pones has been in Oberding for many years and has been the player-coach of the second team. “And he does it really well,” praises the TuS department head. "We always call him Thomas Müller because his wife is a horse freak - like Lisa Müller - and also owns a horse." From time to time you can see Pones sitting in the sulky, reports Huber. He surprised his wife with a carriage that was in front of the Erdingen town hall, when the couple came out after the civil ceremony - the TuS kickers were of course again in line.

Then the family celebrated in the Erdinger Weißbräu - with many relatives of the groom from Dresden.

"Actually, they just wanted lunch and then a coffee, but then it was so funny that it took until the evening," reports Huber.

The player-coach and professional soldier didn't have to worry about the tattoo because his team had no play at the weekend.

The TuS department head assures that he does not know whether there will be offspring soon among the newly married couples.

And so of course he could not say whether a baby triple could be celebrated in nine months after the wedding triple.

“Look ma moi,” says Huber with a laugh.
