America's stars win the Ryder Cup

There was no miracle.

Not even close.

The stars of the United States buried any attempt at a reaction from Europe in the 12 individual duels of the last day of the Ryder Cup and recovered the trophy that the continental troop wore since Paris 2018. Whistling Straits was not Medinah 2012, when the boys who then Captained by José María Olazabal, they turned around a 10-6 against the Chicago fans on Sunday.

Rahm's case is curious. In his Ryder debut, in Paris 2018, he lost the tag team matches and won his individual appointment, none other than Tiger Woods. The opposite of 2021. He won it all shoulder to shoulder with García. He was unrecognizable riding alone. A sign of his transformation into

heir to Seve, Olazabal and García himself. Without the points of his star and almost no other teammates (McIlroy and Poulter did beat Schauffele and Finau), the scoreboard was dyed the red of a volcano.

Waiting for the next rematch (in the Ryder there are always rematches), in Rome 2023, the United States wiped Europe off the map with a win from another era.

After four victories in the past five editions, 9 of 12, the old continent gave up the cup with little resistance.

McIlroy ended up crying, blaming himself for having failed his teammates.

At the Ryder it's all or nothing, glory or crying.
