The ex-Arsenal star Robert Pires sees FC Bayern at the forefront in an international comparison.
He explains why Munich are better than PSG for him.
Munich - Robert Pires is one of the greats in France's football history.
He ran 79 times for the "Equipe Tricolore" and became world and European champion with it.
He won two championship titles with Arsenal FC *.
He does not rave about the Gunners or the French top team Paris St. Germain - but about FC Bayern *.
For him, the German record champions are nothing less than the best team in Europe.
“I see them as the absolute top favorites on the handle pot,” he says in an interview with the

“I don't see a better team in Europe than FC Bayern at the moment,” he enthuses.

He is particularly impressed by the team spirit of the Munich team.
“There is always talk of a club in Munich, which I find wonderful and impressive.
No matter whether Manuel Neuer, Robert Lewandowski * or Joshua Kimmich *: They are all not more important than the big picture.

World footballer Lewandowski would still have deserved the Ballon d'Or if it were up to Pires.
He admires another Bayern star.
“I would be interested in how fast this Alphonso Davies actually is.

Pires advises: PSG should copy something from Bayern
Pires knows what he's talking about because he was once a left winger with a lot of speed.
Before the duel with Manchester City (Tuesday evening), he advises PSG to orientate themselves towards FC Bayern “if they want to achieve their international goals”.
