Derbies between EA Schongau and EC Peiting are something special.

It doesn't matter if it's just a test game.

In the most recent duel, there were nine goals and some excitement.

Peiting - The senior teams of EC Peiting and EA Schongau play in different leagues and therefore have no points of contact in competitive games.

In preparation, however, there is a duel every now and then.

On Sunday it was that time again - and the game on Schongauer Eis was quite a bit of a stir.

Two days before that, both teams were in action against league competitors.

EC Peiting won the game at EA Schongau 5: 4, but coach Anton Saal was angry in two ways.

On the one hand, his team had lost a comfortable lead in the final phase, on the other hand, Marco Habermann retired from the ice early, after just 35 seconds, due to an injury after a knee check.

“You can't act like that,” said Saal annoyed.

His counterpart, Rainer Höfler, on the other hand, was satisfied: "We sold ourselves very well against a very strong opponent."

Injury immediately after a few seconds

The duel in front of 630 spectators started with an excitement: Daniel Holzmann crashed into Habermann, who had to go off the ice with a knee injury. The "mammoth" defender received a game penalty for the knee check. In the five-minute shortfall, EAS goalkeeper Philipp Wieland kept his box clean for a long time. Practically after the penalty expired, Peitings Andreas Feuerecker (6th) scored the 1-0. When Markus Czogallik scored the second goal in the same minute, the "Mammoth" fans feared bad things. The home side, however, caught up and survived another minority unscathed. The supposed connection goal (14th) by Florian Höfler, which was not given by the team of referees, then caused further excitement. "But the pane was 30 centimeters behind the line," said EAS team manager Martin Resch.

In the middle section, Fabian Weyrich (30th) increased to 3-0 for the Peitinger, before Roman Tomanek (36th) scored the first EAS goal in the margin. Thomas Heger (38th) used the next Peitinger outnumbered game to make it 4-1. At that time, Daniel Blankenburg was in the "Mammoth" box. After that, the Peitinger failed to make more of their playful advantages. The ECP was also unable to use some of the penalty times in Schongau. That should take revenge in the final phase.

Jonas Lautenbacher (55th) outnumbered, Höfler (57th) and Schongau guest player Jason Lavallee (57th) - the ex-Königsbrunner represented the injured Jakob Muzik - ensured the 4: 4 equalization with their hits.

The Peitinger, however, prevented that they had to go into extra time for the third time in this series of test matches: youngster Tim Mühlegger (58th) decided the game with his goal to make it 5: 4.

EC Peiting still too careless after own goals

The Friday game of the EC Peiting:

Two days before the Peitinger had received the EV Lindau. With 3: 5 the ECP had to admit defeat to the "Islanders". Nardo Nagtzaam (2nd) scored 1-0 for Peiting. After that, the home side missed good opportunities. Shortly before the first third siren, Lindau equalized. Heger (27th) and Czogallik (29th) scored 2: 1 and 3: 1. Lindau came back immediately with a double strike (30th, 32nd). "We are too careless immediately after hits," scolded Saal. In the final round, the home side failed to submit again. In the last few minutes, the Lindauer accelerated. After the opening goal (57th), they made everything clear with a goal in the orphaned box. “We have taken a step forward, especially when it comes to the game without a disc, but we are not yet where we want to be,” stated Saal.

EA Schongau quarrels with the referee

The Friday game of EA Schongau:

The opponent of the Schongau on Friday was Bayernliga competitor Kempten.

The decimated "Mammoths", with two license players (David Kaiser, David Moor), lost 4-5.

Höfler (21st) and Lautenbacher (26th) scored 1-0 and 2-0.

The foreigners at Kempten, Colton Leiter and Joonas Huovinen, made up the balance.

Leo Zink (45th) shot the guests forward again, Kempten equalized in excess.

The 4: 3 by Höfler (55th) did not last.

In the last few minutes, the Schongauer struggled with decisions by the referees.

The 4: 4 (57th) fell when the EAS had two men in the penalty box.

The 4: 5 - achieved by Mauro Seider - is said to have been preceded by an icing.
