For the semi-final of the League of Nations, this Thursday evening in Turin, Didier Descamps opts for a three-way defense which includes the game

Didier Deschamps decided to use the defense with three axial players, this Thursday evening, in the semifinals of the League of Nations against Belgium.

As we announced, Raphaël Varane will be accompanied by Lucas Hernandez and Jules Koundé, expelled against Bosnia (1-1) to counter the offensives of Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard among others.

This defensive trio will be supported in the corridors by Benjamin Pavard on the right and Théo Hernandez on the left.

This is the AC Milan player's second tenure, the first with his brother Lucas.

Presnel Kimpembe, aligned from the start in the last 10 games of the Blues, will replace him.

In the middle of the field, we will find the duo of recuperators and torchbearers composed of Paul Pogba and Adrien Rabiot.

Finally in attack it is the return of the trident with Antoine Griezmann in support of Kylian Mbappé and Karim Benzema.

These three had not been lined up together for two games because of the calf injury of the Paris striker.

This tactical system in 3-5-2 had worked very well against Finland (2-0) last month, much less against Switzerland (3-3, 4 tab5) during the elimination in the last 16 of the last Euro.

But it has the advantage of bringing together the three offensive players, which the staff of the Blues expect a lot.

The winner of this semi-final will face Spain against Milan on Sunday to succeed Portugal, the first winner of the League of Nations in 2019.

The composition of the France team.

Lloris (cap.) - Koundé, Varane, L. Hernandez - Pavard, Pogba, Rabiot, T. Hernandez - Griezmann - Mbappé, Benzema.
