The 2021/22 season in the basketball Premier League officially kicks off tonight (Saturday) when the champion and trophy holder, Maccabi Tel Aviv, hosts Hapoel Haifa.

The Yellows come into the game after five official games - including winning the Winner's Cup and a 1-1 draw in the Euroleague games.

The Reds, on the other hand, played five official games, were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Winner's Cup, and lost in the European Cup qualifiers.

The guest failed to beat Maccabi Tel Aviv in any of the five meetings between the two last season.

Keenan Evans, who was the leading player of Elad Hussein's team, meets his former team as an opposing player and hopes to show some of the ability he showed last season after a pretty lukewarm start to the Euroleague.

On the other hand, Hapoel Haifa coach Elad Hussein is looking for his first ever victory over the Yellows.
