The painful loss tonight (Saturday) in Glasgow almost completely ended Israel's story in the sixth round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. Nine points.

Meaning: Israel must win all three remaining games, including Austria, and hope that Scotland lose points in two games.

That is, not only will you lose to Denmark at home (in the final round, after the Danes have already promised a rise) but you will also stumble upon Moldova or the Faroe Islands.

Austria will also be in a similar situation to Israel, assuming it defeats the Faroe Islands later tonight, but it has yet to host Denmark on Tuesday.

As you may recall, the home winners automatically advance to the World Cup, while the 10 runners-up join the playoffs for the top two teams in the League of Nations that failed to finish between the top two in the qualifiers (currently Ella Wales and Austria).

These 12 teams will be divided into three tracks, each of which will have semi-finals and finals (without rematch).

The semi-finals will be on March 24-25, 2022 and the final on March 28-29.

The three finalists will qualify for the World Cup.
