The association indicated on its official website that Ronaldo, Manchester United's top scorer, won the award after scoring three goals with his team in three matches, and Arsenal coach Arteta won the award after achieving three consecutive victories during the month of September in the league competitions.
The Egyptian Mohamed Salah was the fiercest competitor to Ronaldo for the award for the best player, while the German Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool coach, and the Spanish Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City coach, was in a heated competition with Arteta for the award.
