The Swedish shooters Kranzberg surprisingly defeated title favorite Mendorf 3-2.

The Swedish shooters from Kranzberg had actually not counted anything at the start of the new Upper Bavaria League for the games against the two title favorites SG Isental Lengdorf and Edelweiß Mendorf.
In the end there was a 3-2 win against Mendorf, whose dramaturgy no crime writer could have written better.
Strong series by Petra Horneber
The two teams fought five close duels - and the three closest went to the Swedish shooters: Kranzberg was one ring better than the opponent three times.
With a total of 1910 rings and at least 380 rings in four out of five starters, they had shot at a very decent level, which was the basic requirement for the surprise victory.

In the meantime it was 2: 1 for the Mendorfer, whose shooters were significantly faster and thus put the Kranzbergers under constant pressure.
In the end, Petra Horneber was faced with an average suicide mission, because she had nines on her account early on and needed 16 times ten rings for her last 16 shots.

Behind the shooting range, the opponent was already confident of victory that she would not succeed.
But the former world-class athlete is still capable of such series today.
When she was 16 tens, she compensated and then took a deep breath: “I shot bravely and bravely and worked off shot after shot.” With every ten, self-confidence and pressure grew in equal measure.
