Russian Daniil Medvedev reached the quarter-finals of the Indian Wells Tennis Championships after defeating Serbian Filip Krajinovic.
Medvedev managed to settle the outcome of the match in his favour, and beat his opponent, the 27th seed, in two sets without a response, 6-2, 7-6.
Medvedev avenged his loss to Krajinovic in the third round of the Indian Wells 2019 tournament and won his second successive victory over the Serbian in three confrontations between them, after defeating him in the third round of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam tournament this year.
Medvedev will meet Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the next round, who in turn defeated American Riley Obelka.
