For the first time in the history of the Olympic Games, the general public will have the opportunity to run the legendary distance of 42.195 km on the same day and on the same course as the champions, a wish of the members of the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games. Paris 2024 (Cojo) to improve the spectator experience by allowing them, too, to participate in the biggest sporting event in the world.
By 2024, those who dream of treading the asphalt therefore have the opportunity to win their bib.
While we will be 1000 days before the Olympic Games in Paris (July 26 to August 11, 2024), the Cojo is thus organizing, on Sunday October 31, an original event, with the presence of Eliud Kipchoge, world record holder in the marathon (2:01 ′ 39 ′ ').

The challenge is great: all those involved in a 5 km race who cross the finish line before the famous Kenyan will win their bib for the Marathon for all of the Paris Olympics!
Don't panic, Eliud Kipchoge will of course start in last position, with a time handicap.
"It is a real pleasure for me to meet you in Paris, 1000 days before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games for an exceptional challenge," announces the Kenyan marathoner.
Open to everyone, whatever their level, this unique race is just like running: accessible to all.

The call is therefore launched and notice to the 2000 amateurs, invited to challenge Kipchoge, on October 31, during a 5 km which will start on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
The selection of participants will be made via Orange social networks and the Paris 2024 club.
