Just last month, Madrop broke the world record in the 10,000 meters with a time of 30:01 minutes in Germany - a record he has held since 2002. Last week set an impressive time in the Valencia half marathon and finished second.

In Tokyo she finished fourth in the 5,000 meters and at the 2019 World Championships she won a bronze medal in that run.
