Barcelona Football Club announced the extension of the contract of its player Pedri Gonzalez until the summer of 2026.
The club stated on its official website that midfielder Pedri signed a new contract with Barcelona for a period of five years until 2026 and a penalty clause of one billion euros, the largest in the history of the Spanish club.
Barcelona is seeking to renew the contracts of its young stars, led by Spanish winger Ansu Fati, 18, and Spanish midfielder Gavi, 18, to form a strong team in the future and to compensate for the departure of Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain.
