The basketball men of SpVgg Altenerding have been unbeaten in home games for two years.
Altenerding - The White Wolves from Passau couldn't change this either.
The team around captain Jonah Richardson won with 79:62 (42:31) points and is after two game days at the top of the District League North.
The move to the new hall (now they are guest at the Erdinger Korbinian-Aigner-Gymnasium), the lack of some regulars (Azim Amani and Sebi Weber on vacation, Camilo Schmutter injured) and the return of some players with a training deficit influenced the game from the point of view of the SpVgg negative. As a result, the team did not find its rhythm for a long time. Too many overzealous fouls often sent the decimated opponent from Passau, who only played with seven players, to the free throw line and gave him a lot of easy points. In addition, there was the low Altenerdinger hit rate from the field. Erding still managed to work out an eleven-point lead up to the break.
After that, the Richardson team concentrated on its well-known aggressive defense, strong rebounds and was able to extend the lead through numerous fast breaks and a few threesomes.
In the end, five Erdingers scored double-digit points.
As a team, you remain strong and unpredictable, as always.
The own bad free throw rate clouded the final result a bit, which was still clearly 79:62.
It was a hard-fought and intense game against very fair guests from TV Passau 2, in which Benjamin Mayer stood out with 33 points.
It could never be stopped by the hosts.
On the third matchday on Sunday, October 17th, the young basketball team of SpVgg Altenerding will go to the Scorpions from TSV Plattling.
A difficult task, as the Lower Bavarians have grown a lot.
Richardson 14, Hopfner 13, Ledbetter 13, Sukovic 13, Wolf 11, Drusko 6, Winkler 4, Vadasz 3, Milivojevic 2.
