The basketball men of SpVgg Altenerding have been unbeaten in home games for two years.
Altenerding - The White Wolves from Passau couldn't change this either.
The team around captain Jonah Richardson won with 79:62 (42:31) points and is after two game days at the top of the District League North.
The move to the new hall (now they are guest at the Erdinger Korbinian-Aigner-Gymnasium), the lack of some regulars (Azim Amani and Sebi Weber on vacation, Camilo Schmutter injured) and the return of some players with a training deficit influenced the game from the point of view of the SpVgg negative. As a result, the team did not find its rhythm for a long time. Too many overzealous fouls often sent the decimated opponent from Passau, who only played with seven players, to the free throw line and gave him a lot of easy points. In addition, there was the low Altenerdinger hit rate from the field. Erding still managed to work out an eleven-point lead up to the break.
After that, the Richardson team concentrated on its well-known aggressive defense, strong rebounds and was able to extend the lead through numerous fast breaks and a few threesomes.
In the end, five Erdingers scored double-digit points.
