The volleyball players at TV Planegg-Krailling remained without a point for four games.
That should change on Saturday.
The prerequisites are almost never.
Krailling / Planegg - The volleyball players of the TV Planegg-Krailling are waiting for the basement duel in the 2nd Bundesliga South this Saturday (7 p.m.) in the Planegger Feodor-Lynen-Gymnasium.
The Würmtalerinnen as the bottom of the league meet the MTV Allianz Stuttgart II, who arrives as penultimate in the table.
The omens for the first Planegger victory are not bad.
Head coach Florian Saller's team with no points in the four match days to date can muster his entire squad for the duel between the basement children.
So the middle blocker Tanja Redecker, who was missing in the 1: 3 in Altdorf last week against the Bundesliga reserve, can play again.
The personnel options for Saller are therefore diverse.
Volleyball, 2nd Bundesliga: Young opponents from MTV Stuttgart II difficult to calculate
After a few one-on-one discussions with players, the coach is optimistic that the first win for TV will come out in the fifth attempt.
"We are still not panicked, we are going into the game positively," announced Saller.
The opponent with many young talents from the affiliated federal base is not so easy to calculate this time.
The Swabians, who scored their first point in the 2: 3 against Waldgirmes last week, often mix their team line-up as a foundation and training team for their own Bundesliga team.
Volleyball, 2nd Bundesliga: Change in the reserve of Allianz MTV Stuttgart
In addition, nine players from the previous year left MTV in the summer, including the experienced player Alexandra Bura, who in 2020/21 was the oldest player in the squad at the age of 28.
The Stuttgart women, with the addition of four newcomers, will appear in the Würmtal with a different face.
However, one thing remains the same in the current season: the majority of the team consists of young talents.
Only four of the players are older than 21 years.
Volleyball, 2nd Bundesliga: TV Planegg-Krailling has fond memories of Stuttgart
The TV Planegg-Krailling have played against the youngsters from Stuttgart in the recent past.
In three of the last four clashes, the Würmtaler women left the field as winners.
In the preseason, Saller's team even achieved two 3-0 wins.
With a success in the first home game of the season in front of external viewers (up to 80 are allowed), the TV could give the red lantern.
