The partner of Kenyan runner Agnes Tirop was arrested last night (Thursday to Friday) in Kenya, several days after he allegedly tried to escape following the murder.
Ibrahim Rotic was apprehended by Mumbasa police, and will be prosecuted after the investigation is completed.
The suspicion is that Rothic was the one who stabbed her to death, after her body was found with stab wounds in the town of Eitan, where she used to train.

The Kenyan runner finished fourth in the 5,000-meter dash at the Tokyo Olympics and has previously won two bronze medals at world championships.
Last month she broke the world record in the 10km run, dropping 28 seconds from the previous record. According to reports in Kenya, he was caught trying to escape from the country, and during his journey collided with his vehicle in a truck with his car.
