Peißenberg - The tennis department of TSV Peißenberg took part in the league games of the BTV with six junior teams.

The conclusion is positive: Press officer Stephan Pongratz spoke of a “fairly successful season”.

The most important thing: There were no corona infections within the team.

"Since we were mostly lucky with the weather, hardly any games had to be postponed," reports Pongratz.

With a lot of commitment on the part of the internal trainer team, the Peißenberg team also managed to compensate for the short-term absence of the external trainer.

In the coming season, “we will again have an external trainer and our own team of trainers available for additional training units,” says Pongratz.

The following is an overview of the teams.

U9 (mixed team):

The youngest of the TSV Peißenberg (born up to 2012) convinced in the district class 1 as second in the table (8: 4 points). Only TSV Peiting II was better (12: 0). The team won the home and return games against Denklingen and Fuchstal. In the encounters, both the games on the small field (singles and doubles) and the results of the motor skills competitions were included in the overall result.

U10 (mixed team): It was

exciting in district class 1. The five teams were all close together in the table. A clear 10: 2 success at TC Pürgen on the last match day finally brought the Peißenbergers (born up to 2011) first place. In the games played on the "midcourt" only the game against runner-up Peiting was lost. Most of the other games were clearly won by the Peißenberger.

U12 (mixed team):

Due to the large number of children in this age group, the Peißenberg team registered two teams.

The first set won the championship title in district class 2.

The better playing ratio compared to the tied TC Seefeld was the decisive factor in favor of the Peißenberger, who had won five out of six games.

The team from the market town only lost to third place, SV Hohenfurch (9: 3).

Lilly Knappich and Marina Müller left the pitch as winners in all of their six singles.

The second team "had to pay a bit of the hardship," said Pongratz.

She ended up in last place in her group.

The team consisted entirely of girls and boys of the year that was eligible to play in the U12 for the first time.

The boys of the U15 landed in sixth place out of seven teams.

Once they left the pitch as the winner - and that in a neighboring duel with TSV Hohenpeißenberg.

The squad was quite large, but it was barely enough to report a second team.

In order to give everyone the opportunity to play, “there was always strong castling,” says Pongratz.

So everyone got three to four missions.

Juniors 18:

The Peißenberg Juniors (born up to 2003) achieved “a significant increase in performance” compared to the previous year, according to press officer Pongratz. In the district class 2, the troop landed in fifth place among six teams. The individual games made the Peißenberger much closer than in the previous season. In the end there was a win (5: 1 against Schwabbruck) and a draw (3: 3 against Peiting) on the credit side. Andreas Kern had the best record within the team (9: 1 wins).
