"My dear Habib Beye, on Sunday, October 17, the derby of the Lycée Poquelin (Saint-Germain-en-Laye) is waiting for you against coach Mehdi Belmiloud ..." In this tweet written after the draw, the journalist Nabil Djellit set the tone for the 5th round of the Coupe de France which will oppose Sunday (2:30 p.m.) Chambourcy (3rd division of the Yvelines district), one of the small poucets of Ile-de-France, to the professionals of the Red Star (National). This match between two teams separated by eight divisions will mark the reunion between Mehdi Belmiloud (45), coach of Chambourcy and Habib Beye (43), coach of Red Star, who attended the same high school in Saint-Germain-en -Laye also in the company of several future PSG pros such as Nicolas Anelka, Djamel Belmadi, Didier Domi, Bernard Allou or Fabrice Kelban.

Former PSG youth player, from the age of 8 to 16, Belmiloud has notably evolved with Grégory Paisley in the Parisian jersey. He then faced with Le Pecq, Beye when the latter was playing in Marly-le-Roi.

“We cannot say that we were close but we knew each other,” explains Mehdi Belmiloud. We were in the same high school and we played against each other. After the draw, Nabil (Djellit) told Habib about me by showing him a photo. He recognized me and he knows who I am. That makes me very happy. For me, it was a little unimaginable to find myself facing Habib Beye… He is a recognized former pro, he is very relevant and very comfortable in his role as a consultant. As a coach, I have a little more experience than him (smile), but he is doing his part without skipping steps. He started as an assistant in amateur clubs in Ile-de-France, the ACBB, Poissy and now the Red Star. This week, there were quite a few articles about his situation at the Red Star and each time, this match against Chambourcy was mentioned. It made people talk about us and it gives even more relief to this event which was already a great celebration for our club. "To face a team like the Red Star is a great reward"

Small town of less than 6,000 inhabitants, Chambourcy, 300 licensees, which therefore evolves at the 11th national level, reached the 5th round of the Coupe de France for the first time in its history.

Sports educator at the town hall of Plaisir, Mehdi Belmiloud, has been coaching the first team for 17 years.

“We were a bunch of friends and we were looking for a club to all play together,” he recalls.

We found him in Chambourcy.

There is good infrastructure and nice guys.

What more ?

At our level, we seek above all this pleasure.

I fully invested myself in Chambourcy, I also coached several teams of young people, and I feel good there.

"

To the point of declining proposals to train in clubs that evolve a little higher.

"In my life, I have always been faithful and I favored stability," he explains.

I have five children, aged 3 to 18, and my family balance was also very important.

I did not want to go elsewhere for short and random contracts.

I have never regretted it.

For a year and a half, we suffered terribly because of the Covid.

But despite the curfews, the period when we were not allowed to contact, we adapted and we always continued to train.

That's why for the whole club, my players and I, facing a team like the Red Star is a great reward.

We couldn't have hoped for better.
