Manchester United chooses the easy way and receives criticism: For the trip to the game at Leicester, the football stars sit on the plane for a few minutes.
Manchester - Cristiano Ronaldo and his Manchester United teammates will play a Premier League game on Saturday in Leicester, around 120 kilometers away.
However, the British Champions League participant did not travel to the duel between the ex-champions by team bus, rather the football stars preferred a short trip by private jet.
It was only about ten minutes in the air before the troop of the "Red Devils" could get ready for the landing approach again.
In times of the climate change debate, such a decision seems extremely questionable - after all, flying is one of the greatest environmental sins.
ManUnited is flying to Leicester for the away game - self-interest instead of climate protection
So, did Manchester United prove on the sidelines of the game against Leicester City that they have absolutely nothing to do with climate protection?
At least there is an explanation for the dubious decision of the team management: As the
Sun
explains in a critical report, the M6 motorway as the main connection between the two cities was closed on Friday.
However, there would have been other ways to get there: they would just have cost more time.
But those responsible would have preferred to choose the smoothest possible itinerary - and get on the plane.
The tabloid states that clubs like ManUnited should set a good example “in times of fear of the climate”, but have no interest in doing so for reasons of self-interest.

Manchester United ignores carbon footprint - but one came with the electric car
The paper leaves nothing to be desired with the short flight adventure and even speaks of a "ticking time bomb".
"Clubs are clearly not interested in reducing their carbon footprint, but rather pay attention to the personal needs of their players." As the
picture
reports, however, the ManU-Portuguese Bruno Fernandes chose a different path - and raced the track with his electric car -Porsche.
The entire Premier League is getting dissatisfied about another issue: the takeover of the Newcastle United club is highly controversial.
Freiburg coach Christian Streich is stunned and appeals to the Bundesliga.
