Geffen Primo advanced today (Saturday) to the Grand Slam Paris final, which is being held for the 50th time, after achieving three victories, thus securing a first medal in a trip that should end back to Paris - to the 2024 Olympics.
So far, her only medal in the Grand Slam competitions was a bronze in Baku in 2019.
The 21-year-old Primo, a bronze medalist from the World Championships in the up to 52kg category, defeated Frenchman Anais Modiya in the quarterfinals who suffered a third penalty in the gold score. And in the semifinals she added another iPhone in the gold score against German Masha Belhaus, and in the final the local Astrid Nieto is waiting for her.

Simultaneously with Geffen's battle in the quarterfinals, her younger sister Kerem also reached a gold score at that stage, only at the higher weight (up to 57 kg), but lost on the mat next to the French Paisa Mokdar. Who won the silver medal at the World Under-21 Championships about a week and a half ago.
Inbal Shemesh (up to 63 kg) also competed today and lost in 27 seconds to the Portuguese Barbara Timo.
Tomorrow the competition will end with two more Israeli women: Inbar Lanir (up to 78 kg) and Raz Hershko (over 78 kg).
