ASM Clermont Auvergne won this Saturday in Montpellier (20-22), on behalf of the 7th day of the Top 14. The Auvergnats had scored the first by Damian Penaud (8th), but the Héraultais had retaliated by Julien Weaver (12th).
In the end, ASM, more enterprising in the second period, made the difference thanks to Camille Lopez's boot (five penalties, one transformation).
World champion Springboks opener André Pollard had the MHR win penalty in the dying moments but missed it.
The Clermontois sign their first success outside of the season and give themselves a little air at the bottom of the standings (10th).
