On November 4, 2017 Giulia Gwinn scored the 1-0 for SC Freiburg against VfL Wolfsburg.
It was the winning goal by the current Munich woman - and a special one too.
It should have been the last time in almost four years that the VfL women lose a league game against an opponent other than Bayern Munich.
Oberdorf scores in its own goal
On the 6th match day of the 2021/2022 season it was that time again.
At TSG Hoffenheim, the six-time champions lost 1: 2 (0: 1).
The Austrian Nicole Billa (12th), Germany's player of the year, had put the hosts in the lead, Jill Roord (54th) equalized.
An own goal by VfL national player Lena Oberdorf (82nd) made the decision.
For TSG it was the first points against Wolfsburg after 16 defeats in a row since promotion to the Bundesliga in 2013.
trip to the past
After their first defeat of the season, Wolfsburg are now level three with TSG with 13 points, Bayer Leverkusen (15 points) are now second.
The next competitive game is a special one for VfL: On November 1, they have to travel across Germany in the DFB round of 16.
It goes to: SC Freiburg.
