A new player for the Erding Gladiators is almost on the way.
Erding - Before the end of the transition period, those responsible for the Erding Gladiators were still active on the transfer market: Roni Rukajärvi is the name of the newcomer from Finland who will join the Gladiators team next week.
The 28-year-old Finn from Oulu strengthens the gladiators' defense after the serious injury of Sebastian Schwarz. Rukajärvi went through the youth teams in Kärpät and was there also a Finnish youth national player. In the 2015 to 2018 seasons he played for Pelicans and Peliitat in the top Finnish league. After a detour to the Swedish league (2018/19) he moved to the German second division Bayreuth Tigers before joining the Kempten Sharks and advancing with them to the Bayern League. In the canceled Corona season, he made all six Bayernliga games for Kempten before he returned home to Laser HT Oulu.
Next week the Finn will land in Erdinger Moos and start training.
His first use in the gladiator jersey is planned for Sunday, October 30th, in Peißenberg.
